For all engaged couples who are planning on celebrating the Sacrament of Matrimony in 2016, please be aware of two very important dates: A Wedding Workshop on Saturday, January 23, from 9:30 a.m. - 12 noon.  We will go over details and guidelines regarding the wedding liturgy and review the book Together for Life.  It is very important that you, both the bride and groom, attend this session.  Please mark it on your calendars. While planning the wedding is certainly exciting, it is your marriage preparation that we most want to emphasize.  This preparation must be completed before the sacrament takes place.  New this year, we are hosting a one-day Marriage Preparation session co-sponsored by Saint Margaret Mary and Mount Saint Peter Parishes.  The day will feature married couples who present topics that are critical to sustaining a lasting and loving marriage.  We are working diligently to plan a day that will be both formative and fun.  This event will take place here on Saturday, February 6, from 9:00 - 5:00 p.m. The fee $30 includes a continental breakfast, lunch, and dinner at Villa Ballanca (dinner optional). Please email Gabrielle Genovese to RSVP for both of these events: ggenovese@dioceseofgreensburg.org.

Saint John Paul II, speaking to Altar Servers on August 1, 2001 said:   ”The Altar Server has a privileged place in liturgical celebrations.”  They experience from close at hand that Jesus Christ is present and active in every liturgy………. Jesus is present above all in the Eucharist, under the appearances of bread & wine.”   Training is scheduled for Sunday, February 14, through February 28, immediately following the 11:00 a.m. Mass.   No matter how busy & active you are, we are obliged and privileged to worship at Mass every weekend and holy day.   WHY NOT PARTICIPATE EVEN MORE FULLY AND SERVE MASS?   Please contact the Parish Office at 724-335-2336 to register.   This will be the only Altar Server Training Class conducted in 2016.
