Young Adult Ministry

Theology on Tap

Theology on Tap is a gathering of young adults in a causal atmosphere to discuss timely topics around faith and life. The group meets bi-monthly from September thru May. If you are in your 20’s or 30’s, single or married, you are invited to attend.

Young adult ministry is an outreach to singles and married adults in the 20’s and 30’s with a Catholic focus.

A National Program
Theology on Tap is a national program begun in Chicago in 1981. This program fulfills the wishes of the late Pope John Paul II to “bring the gospel of Christ into the streets and to speak it from the housetops, and to go to where people are.” Theology on Tap is a comfortable, non-threatening environment in which the teaching of the Catholic Church can be discussed.

The Conference of Catholic Bishops formalized young adult ministry in 1996. St. Margaret Mary uses the program Theology on Tap as a way to reach the young adults on our parish and local community.
