As pastor, Msgr. Gaston is the spiritual leader of the faith community at St. Margaret Mary Church.
He holds an S.T.L. (Licentiate in Sacred Theology) from the Gregorian University in Rome and a Masters of Arts in Theology from Fordham University. He completed additional studies in Theology at the Aquinas Institute in St. Louis. He was ordained in 1970. |

Father Grote serves as parochial vicar to St. Margaret Mary parish as well as St. Joseph & St. Mary parishes. He was ordained May 1, 1982,
He holds a Bachelor in Advertising Journalism degree from West Virginia University (1977), a Masters degree (magna cum laude) in Systematic Theology in (1981) and Masters of Divinity degree from Mt. St. Mary Seminary, Emmitsburg, MD (1986). |
Rev. Msgr. John L. Conway

Msgr. Conway is retired and living in the parish. He keeps busy with his travels, helping out in parishes, and with his personal interests.
Msgr. Conway holds a Masters in Education and a Masters of Social Work from the University of Pittsburgh. |
John F. Kane
Coordinator of Ministry

As Coordinator of Ministries, John gives organizational direction, oversees the development and coordinates all ministries in service to the mission of Saint Margaret Mary parish. This includes the development of strategies for reaching out to parishioners for participation and ministry service by encouraging discipleship in answer to their baptismal call in collaboration with the pastor and the parish.
John has experience in training and development, human resources and strategic planning. He holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Pittsburgh.
John and his wife Jo enjoy visiting their son John, Jr. and his wife Lori and two grandchildren, Olivia and Adam in Charlotte, NC; their son Dan and his wife Kelly and three grandchildren, Domenic, Maria and Colleen in Richmond, VA; and their daughter Stefanie and her husband Jeffrey in State College, PA.

William Staniszewski
Business Manager

Oversee finances, development and facilities.
Bill acts as a delegate of the pastor in his oversight of finances, development and facilities. He is responsible for general management of parish plant and property, personnel policies, and all financial, legal and operational matters.
He has experience in all facets of operations and business management, specifically in human resources, management, consulting, and employee development. He holds a Bachelor of Arts from The Pennsylvania State University.
Bill is also the Planned Giving Representative for the Parish.
Bill and his wife Margie have five children: Billy, Joey, Ricky, Benji, and Danny. Bill enjoys skiing, basketball, and spending time with his wife and children.

Joan Duncan
Director of Faith Formation

As Director of Faith Formation, Joan is responsible for the development, implementation and evaluation faith formation programs.
Joan taught in the Diocese of Greensburg prior to becoming Director and accepting this role in July 2001.
Joan holds a BA in Religious Studies/Theology from Seton Hill University, a PA certification in early childhood Elementary Ed, and a Masters of Arts in Pastoral Ministry from the University of Dayton.
Joan has one daughter, Rebecca.

Mary Murphy
Director of Liturgy & Music

As Director of Music and Liturgy, she facilitates the enrichment, expansion and functioning of liturgy and its musical expression with the liturgy. She oversees liturgical ministries and collaborates with parish staff, lay ministers and volunteers.
Mary has worked for the parish in various roles since 1999 and full time as Director of Music and Liturgy since 2003. She holds a Masters in Music from West Virginia University.

Donna Misak
Coordinator of Youth Ministry

Donna coordinates Youth ministry since 2006. In this role she is responsible for developing, planning and implementing all youth activities. Donna coordinates and oversees youth ministry programs for youth in grades 6 – 12.
Donna has been a part of the Music and Liturgy Program since 2003. She assists the Director of Music/Liturgy with various musical expressions, and program development, and directs the Youth choir.
She holds a certification in Pastoral Ministry from Seton Hill University.

In addition to being the Parish Receptionist, Linda is responsible for the publication of our parish newsletter “Heart to Heart.” She is website liaison, provides administrative and clerical support to the pastor and staff and maintains all parish records and reports.
Linda is a graduate of Kiski Area High School. Linda attended Edinboro University and Westmoreland County Community College.
Linda and her husband Jim reside in Vandergrift and have three children, two granddaughters and one grandson.

As financial secretary, Sharon is responsible for the accounting and financial reporting. In addition she also oversees the annual Festival of Friendship and attends to numerous other duties in the parish office.
Sharon is a graduate of Duff’s Business Institute (Stenographic Secretarial/Accounting) and has taken courses at Westmoreland County Community College. She is also a graduate of Leadership Alle-Kiski Valley.
Sharon and her husband Bill reside in Lower Burrell and have two children.

Dan Ash
Maintenance
Dan is responsible for the daily maintenance of all buildings and grounds of the parish.
He is a graduate of Kiski Area High School. Dan and his wife Rosanna reside in Vandergrift. |
