Faith Formation for Children in Grades K - 5

For the 2023/2024 Catechetical Year we offer the following options of Faith Formation for your children:
Mary Queen of Apostles Catholic School: This is a Pre-K to 8 Elementary School. Call: 724-335-4411 to schedule a visit.
Catechesis of the Good Shepherd: This is a common religious experience involving children and adults in which the religious values of childhood, primarily those values of contemplation and enjoyment of God. Catechesis of the Good Shepherd (CGS) is for ages 3-12 years old. This is a “hands-on” environment and is comprised of 3 Levels. Levels 1, 2 & 3 will have evening classes from 6:00-7:30 PM. Classrooms or “Atriums” are at Mary Queen of Apostles/Mt. St. Peter site.
Faith Formation for Grades K through 5: This is the traditional classroom model of learning using “Sadlier Curriculum”. Classes will be MONDAY evenings for Kindergarten through Fifth Grades from 6:00-7:30 PM at the Mary Queen of Apostles/Mt. St. Peter site.
Homeschooling: Parents can “homeschool” – teach their children Faith Formation using the “Sadlier Curriculum” for Grades K through 5. Parents are expected to keep in touch with the Catechist for their child’s grade. Families are also expected to attend our monthly “FAMILY NGHTS”, unless other arrangements have been made.
FAMIL/Y NIGHT: is a combined Catechesis night that will involve the entire family. They will be monthly as noted on the calendar. Family Nights will count as class time and as such, will need to be made up if missed. ALL students from Catechesis of the Good Shepherd, Faith Formation, and Homeschool are EXPECTED to participate. Unless otherwise noted, Family Nights will be held at St. Margaret Mary Parish Sullivan Hall.
